Excellent historical and art documentaries. I think the documentaries on Magellan are excellent, especially the historical and art docs. The documentaries of Waldemar Januszczak alone are worth the monthly fee, which I think is only $7. If you've never seen Waldemar in action, he is a superb guide through the history of art. All are excellent: Renaissance Unchanges, The Dark Ages, Roccoco, The Impressionists, William Dobson. And his excellent series on the Baroque which is available on youtube. Believe me, you will learn so much from his series. Also interesting docs on The Normans, Italy Invisible Cities, and many on ancient Greece and Rome. Vince G.
Surprisingly Good! My brother is into history, and suggested I try MagellanTV. I've had it for 2 months now, and I'm lovin it. Shows are smart and not what you'd normally find, even on PBS. I like history, but LOVE science and space science. And there is tons of that. Some challenging stuff too, like 'Secrets of Quantum Physics' -- yeah, not going to find that on Nat Geo. Yes, a bit pricey month to month, but we signed up for the annual plan and that brings it down to 4.99 or something.That's totally fine. We're loving the service. Glad we found it. Rebecca
